    1. Download the zipped application file named “ZPFX_DFU_GA_MAC_M116_D114.dmg” to your computer. You will see an alert that reads “We’re sorry, this file type is not currently supported” but the Download button works fine.
    2. Double-click on “ZPFX_DFU_GA_MAC_M116_D114.dmg” to open the file. You will find the application file named “ZPFX_DFU_MAC_116_114.app.” If you are using Google Chrome as an internet browser you may see this message displayed: “.zip is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous.” You must click on the arrow and select “keep” in order to download the file.
    3. Remove the batteries from the PFX CPU. (Skip this step if your headset is panel-powered.)
    4. Connect the headset to an Apple computer via the supplied USB cable. The micro USB port is located on the CPU: the port for battery-operated headsets is under the battery door; On the LEMO (panel-powered) headsets, it is visible on the back of the CPU, under the rubber cap.

If this happens, close the application, disconnect the USB cable from the CPU and reconnect it, then reopen the application and begin again with step 6.
    12. Click “OK” on the “Firmware Upgrade Successful” dialog box.
    13. Observe changes in the headset firmware version numbers.
    14. Quit application.
    15. Unplug USB cable and replace batteries.
    16. Test headset for normal operation:
    • Put the headset on your head.

    • Press and hold the Action button until acoustic response mapping is activated. (See your user guide to locate all buttons.)
