July 20, 2022

In a recent webinar, former National Weather Service meteorologist Dr. Scott Dennstaedt, provided his tips on minimizing your exposure to adverse weather for cross-country flights along the Appalachian Mountains to eastern coastal regions of the U.S. Over the last two decades Dennstaedt has been teaching pilots at all experience levels how to minimize their exposure to adverse weather and has published over 200 weather-related articles in various aviation magazines. He is the co-author of the aviation weather book, Pilot Weather: From Solo to the Airlines and is a certified flight instructor.

Watch the webinar now and learn so many tips including what to do with mountain turbulence during the warm season, planning for pulse-type thunderstorms, and the dangers around dissipating tropical systems. He even provides a route planning example you can apply to your own flying practices.
