Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Position Description:
Job Location: Remote
Position Status: Full-time
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Reports to: President
Position Purpose:
The Vice President of Sales and Business Development will drive Lightspeed’s premium aviation headset sales with B2B customers in existing and new vertical markets. The ideal candidate will bring an already established network of contacts and will have superior prospecting skills to fill the opportunities pipeline.
This is a new position, propelled by growth plans with current and future new products and will report to the President. The candidate will manage and mentor a seasoned Sr. Account Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute Lightspeed’s strategy to grow B2B sales of premium headsets in the U.S. market – 70%
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients while acquiring deep understanding of their buying influences – 15%
- Manage the international aviation headset dealer network – 5%
- Manage the 3rd party global network of helmet manufactures and integrators that use Lightspeed’s Active Noise Reduction (ANR) kits for helmets – 5%
- Partner with the internal marketing team to create sales enablement tools and lead generation opportunities – 5%
Qualifications:
Required:
- 10+ years in sales and business development in the aviation industry with demonstrated sales and profit growth
- Must possess a Pilot’s License
- Bachelor’s degree
- Brilliant communication, critical thinking, and planning skills
- U.S. citizenship
Preferred:
- Entrepreneurial, hunting style, coupled with structured, data-driven mindset
