Selecting the right plug type ensures your new Lightspeed Delta Zulu®, Zulu 4 or Zulu 3 headset connects out of the box*. Lightspeed offers three standard aviation headset plug types to match the aircraft you fly most often.
What plug types are available for my aviation headset?
Dual GA Plugs
Dual GA plugs will work in most fixed wing airplanes, even if other types of panel jacks are available. Dual GA plugs are a good option for pilots who switch between aircraft, including rentals and flight school aircrafts.

LEMO or Panel Power (6-Pin) Plug
LEMO, also known as Panel Power (6-Pin) plugs connect to aircraft that are equipped with a panel-powered jack using a single connector. When used with the lithium-ion battery included with the Lightspeed Delta Zulu, a panel power plug will allow you to charge the battery pack during operation.

Heli (U-174)
Heli (U-174) plugs should be selected if you primarily or exclusively fly helicopters, as they are designed specifically for helicopter audio systems.

Which plug type should I choose?
- Choose Dual GA if you fly multiple fixed-wing aircraft or want maximum flexibility.
- Choose LEMO or Panel Power (6-Pin) if your primary aircraft is equipped with panel power.
- Choose Heli (U-174) if you fly helicopters.
If you primarily fly an aircraft with panel power but occasionally use a fixed-wing aircraft without it, you can add a Panel Power (6-Pin) to Dual GA plug adaptor for additional flexibility.
Are custom plug types available?
Custom plug types are available for pilots flying commercial or corporate aircraft and are offered at an additional cost. Contact Lightspeed Customer Support at 1-800-332-2421 before ordering for details.
