We’re back from another wonderful year at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. Lightspeed stays busy meeting our customers and fans all week – enjoying the sun, the camaraderie, and the passion for general aviation with the 650K+ people who descend upon Oshkosh at the end of July.
One of our favorite parts of the week is catching up with some of Lightspeed’s friends and talking about their individual passions and experiences. We captured these conversations on Instagram Live for the social world to follow. But here are some of these interviews for you to enjoy in case you missed us at the show or on one of our many social media platforms.
Mel Williams
During EAA AirVenture 2022, Lightspeed Aviation had the pleasure of interviewing Mel Williams, known as Mel the Traveler, about his aviation career path and the inspiration for the 2022 Achieve Your Dreams Contest. This contest was launched two weeks before Air Venture to award one lucky high school program with a new Zulu 3 ANR headset. Watch now as Mel announced the winner of the contest. One of our favorite aerobatic helicopter pilots, Red Bull Helicopter pilot Aaron Fitzgerald, stopped by the Lightspeed courtyard for a chat about his recent endeavors. His career has spanned being a U.S. Army veteran, and aerial filming pilot and an aerial firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service, among many other hats he wears. He has his own chapter in our Path to Your Dreams eBook and talks about his life in general aviation.
Jolie Lucas
In this clip, we chat with Jolie Lucas about her aviation path and the importance of encouraging women in aviation. Jolie Lucas is a Mooney owner, licensed psychotherapist, and instrument rated and commercial pilot. She is an aviation educator and writer and the founder of two grass-roots general aviation service groups: Mooney Ambassadors and the Friends of Oceano Airport. Watch now as we even discuss Jolie’s love of Lightspeed’s newest flight bag: The Duke!
Trevor Jones
Lightspeed Aviation had the opportunity to chat with another Mooney Ambassador, Trevor Jones, known as Goldfingeraviation on Instagram.
