Portland, Oregon (December 19, 2019) – Lightspeed Aviation, the leading innovator in aviation headsets and enhanced pilot connectivity is happy to announce the mini-release of the 3.0.1 version of FlightLink, a free, proprietary app that allows for inflight recording and adds enhanced functionality to all Lightspeed headsets.
What’s new with FlightLink in 2019
With the launch of FlightLink 3.0 earlier this year, the pilot’s app was re-written for iOS 13 to provide a much needed improved user experience that included faster scrolling, and improved file management and sharing. Pilots can easily transfer files via AirDrop, and share recordings and notes using iOS sharing services. Using Apple Pencil or the double-tap gesture with Pencil 2, the user can also take handwritten notes on supported iPads.
Listening to customer feedback, we’ve brought back the scrubber to the Library Recording Playback, and your most recent recordings will again appear at the top of the list in your Library view.
Download the FlightLink app on the Apple iTunes Store, use it with your Lightspeed headset, and let us and your fellow pilots know how it’s helped your flying by writing a review. Find out more or download it now: https://www.lightspeedaviation.com/flightlink-app/
About the FlightLink app
FlightLink 3.0 is perfect for any pilot flying with an iPad or iPhone who wants to capture and retrieve in-flight communication. It’s a powerful tool for flight training at all levels because of its ability to capture the intercom communication of instructional flights. The app works seamlessly with newer Lightspeed headsets to record and playback incoming and outgoing communications.
Using FlightLink, pilots can record all activity over the intercom, including inbound and outbound transmissions and in-cabin conversation and instantly play back ATC calls or other communications from any point within the last two minutes of recording.
