For the second year is a row, Lightspeed is sponsoring the Helicopter Association International’s Excellence in Communications Award. Lightsport Girl opens the door to aviation for future pilots
As a little girl in Puerto Rico, Margarita dreamed of flying and once she achieved her dream, she was determined to open the door to aviation for others who might not have the same opportunity. Today, as Lightsport Girl, she gives free discovery flights at flight schools and aviation events, working to introduce as many people as possible to the joy of flying and show that dreams really can be achieved. Although she focuses on providing this experience to woman and young girls, she is happy to share the cockpit with anyone who could benefit from a life-enriching trip to the sky.
Here is a great video that illustrates the joy and sense of wonder a simple flight can bring to a young mind.
