Description
Lightspeed’s Zulu series headsets have earned a reputation as top choices in premium ANR headsets, thanks to remarkable comfort and award-winning active noise cancellation (ANR) that delivers consistent performance over a deep, broad range of low frequency noise. Zulu 4 builds on that success by offering more comfort, more clarity, and more flexibility.
More Comfort
All new FrameFit™ ear seals are a game changer for pilots who wear glasses, hats, or sunglasses. The innovative tapered foam is designed to better seal around headwear to minimize pressure points, maximize performance, and offer unrivaled comfort no matter what you wear. Zulu series signature large cup cavity encompasses the entire ear, to prevent pain caused by seals pressing against the edge of the ear. Low-profile stainless steel headband follows the curve of the head for more comfortable distribution of weight and side pressure.
More Clarity
Enhanced upstream audio ensures up to 90% reduction of background noise in outgoing transmissions sent over Bluetooth. Whether making phone calls from the air or connecting with ATC from the ground, your voice comes through crisp and clear. Dual Aperture Disc™ microphone supports noise cancellation for clearer, more intelligible communications. User-adjusted mic gain balances loud and soft voices in a multi-headset environment. Front Row Center™ (FRC), stereo cross-feed technology delivers crisp, rich audio and unparalleled music fidelity.
More Flexibility
Thoughtful refinements allow you to customize your headset experience like never before, keeping you unencumbered in the cockpit. Connect to two devices simultaneously with Dual Bluetooth. Tweak headset placement to your exact preferences with a 10% longer mic boom and longer upper cable. Stay connected via a flexible power supply for panel-powered headsets with AA battery backup.
Zulu 4 is compatible with the Lightspeed Aviation App, our free in-flight cockpit recording application for Apple iPad and iPhone.

Prior to purchase, I had the opportunity to try on a pair of Zulu 3, and Delta Zulu, and Bose A30, but I did not have an opportunity to try on Zulu 4. I purchased solely based on what I read through your Website. After purchasing the Zulu 4 and using them, I have to say, they are in my personal opinion way more comfortable (both with and without my aviation sunglasses on) than any of the others that I tried that I mentioned above, and I find the ANR to be better, and I have really enjoyed the exclusive feature that Bluetooth is able to connect to two different sources simultaneously. The earmuffs/cups are so plush and a joy to wear, and the headset is so light and does not put pressure on areas of my head that both the original Zulu, and Bose A30 did in their own ways. The no-tangle cord is awesome, as well, and the clarity of not just radio communications, but music and audio calls is superb. I will definitely be recommending these to every pilot I communicate with. I wanted to post this review and share how amazing the Zulu 4 aviation headphones are. -Marc Galli
